Why We Stand

Doctors don't endorse
candidates lightly.

We do it when the stakes demand it — and California's healthcare is on the line in 2026.

🛡️

Medi-Cal Is Under Threat

Fifteen million Californians depend on Medi-Cal for their care. Federal rollback proposals would devastate our most vulnerable patients. Xavier Becerra will fight to protect every dollar.

💊

Drug Prices Are Unsustainable

We watch patients ration insulin and skip medications every day. Becerra built CalRx and has the track record to actually bend the cost curve. This is personal for us.

🤝

He Listens to Physicians

As California AG and U.S. HHS Secretary, Xavier Becerra worked alongside clinicians — not against them. He understands what happens at the bedside. That matters.

The Issues

What we're fighting for in 2026.

Six urgent priorities where Becerra's leadership will directly impact patient outcomes across California.

Priority 01 — Medi-Cal Defense

Protecting the coverage 15 million Californians depend on

Medi-Cal is the backbone of California's healthcare safety net. As federal Medicaid cuts are proposed in Washington, we need a governor who will go to the mat to protect Medi-Cal enrollees — especially low-income families, seniors, people with disabilities, and undocumented immigrants who have nowhere else to turn.

Priority 02 — Drug Pricing & CalRx

Making medications affordable for every Californian

As HHS Secretary, Becerra fought pharmaceutical companies on insulin prices. As Governor, he will expand CalRx — California's generic drug initiative — and use the state's purchasing power to negotiate lower prices on the medications patients actually need.

Priority 03 — Reproductive Healthcare

Ensuring every woman receives the care she needs

California must remain a safe haven for reproductive healthcare. Becerra will defend existing protections, ensure abortion access statewide, and fight against federal attempts to restrict reproductive rights in our state.

Priorities 04–06 — Workforce, Telehealth & Disaster Prep

Building a resilient healthcare system for the future

California faces a physician shortage crisis — especially in rural and underserved communities. Becerra's plan expands loan forgiveness, telehealth infrastructure, and community health worker pipelines. And after the LA fires, disaster-ready hospitals and supply chains are non-negotiable.

As President Biden's HHS Secretary, he expanded the ACA, negotiated lower drug prices, and defended Medicaid against repeated attacks. He knows our system from the inside — and he knows where it's broken.
